West Side Ladies Runaway Retreat

The date is set for the 2026 Ladies Retreat at Flathead Lake United Methodist Camp. Our retreat is scheduled for October 12-15th at a cost of $84.00 per person for cabin rental - a great price for a three-night stay! A noon-time meal stop is planned for Missoula on the way. We carpool to share the transportations costs but keep in mind that cargo space is limited, so pack accordingly. If you are willing to drive, please let Betty Burkland know.

The Plains/Paradise Cabin is heated and has 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen and large dining/lounging area. It also has a fireplace so a little wood would be nice for inside as well as the outdoor firepit near the lake. There is an auxiliary washroom/bathhouse as well.

Bedding is not provided so please bring pillows, sheets, blankets or sleeping bags, towels and washcloths. A good flashlight is helpful if you want to stroll to the outdoor firepit in the evening or watch the sunset.

Attendees will be divided into teams to prepare meals. The kitchen has dishes and cooking utensils available unless your dish requires special cooking appliances/tools. There will be a planning meeting pre-retreat to facilitate meal planning for brunch and evening meal each day. Snacks are encouraged and often plentiful.

If you play a musical instrument, bring it along. If you have a special craft you would like to introduce to fellow campers, bring supplies and directions. Bring your favorite games or puzzles. Wi-Fi and Cellular service is available.
